THE RIAD

Riad Lyon Mogador is nestled in the heart of Essaouira's medina. Although just a stone's throw from the shops and restaurants, its large traditional door opens onto a discreet square. Local children love to play around the fountain.

This former 18th century bourgeois residence was built by a prosperous merchant to impress and, above all, win over his future wife!

At the time, it was the highest riad in the medina, and was the object of much envy. Today, it's travellers' turn to immerse themselves in the charm of Moroccan traditions and enjoy its spectacular view over the rooftops of the medina and the ocean. ​
